Bespoke Jewellery, Australia

If you can describe it, we can make it. De Leoni designs and hand makes custom jewellery for clients across Australia, from engagement rings and tennis necklaces to enamel work and heirloom remodelling.

Custom jewellery made for you, not adapted to you

Most jewellery is designed first and sold second. We work the other way around. Every De Leoni commission begins with a private consultation, by video from wherever you are in Australia or in person with our Sydney based design team, where we talk through the piece, the occasion, how it will be worn and what it needs to last through.

From there our designers produce hand sketches, then CAD, so you can see proportion, profile and stone placement before any metal is cut. Stones are sourced to your brief, natural or lab grown, certified, and chosen in person on your behalf. Master jewellers then cast, file, polish and hand set the piece. Most commissions take four to six weeks, and every finished piece is shipped insured anywhere in Australia.

What we make

There is no standard brief

Engagement & Wedding Rings

Solitaires, three stone, toi et moi and hidden halo settings, cut to your stone and finger profile in 10ct, 14ct or 18ct gold and platinum.

Tennis Necklaces & Bracelets

Graduated or uniform, natural or lab grown, set to the exact carat weight and coverage you want rather than a fixed catalogue spec.

Coloured Stone Pieces

Sapphires, emeralds, rubies, spinels and rare cuts sourced to brief, matched for tone and life rather than paperwork alone.

Enamel & Signet Work

Hand applied enamel, engraving, monograms and crests for pieces meant to be worn every day and handed on.

Heirloom Remodelling

Inherited stones reset into something you will actually wear, with the original character kept intact.

Pendants, Studs & Hoops

Everyday classics built properly: correct backs, correct weight, correct spread for the carat you choose.

The process

Six steps, from first conversation to finished piece

  1. I

    Initial Consultation

We begin one-on-one, by video or in person, discussing your ideas, references and the story the piece needs to carry.

  2. II

    Concept Development

Our designers return with hand sketches and several directions. You give feedback, we refine, until the design is unmistakably yours.

  3. III

    CAD Drawings

The chosen concept is rendered in three dimensions so you can see proportion, profile and stone placement before a gram of metal is cut.

  4. IV

    Stone Selection

We source diamonds and coloured stones to your brief, natural or lab grown, certified, and chosen in person for life and character.

  5. V

    Crafting

Master jewellers cast, file, polish and hand set the piece. This is the slowest part of the process, and deliberately so.

  6. VI

    The Reveal

Your finished piece is delivered insured anywhere in Australia, sized and adjusted, with certification and lifetime care.

Materials

Diamonds, coloured stones and enamel

We work across natural and lab grown diamonds, coloured gemstones, hand applied enamel, and gold from 10ct through to 18ct as well as platinum. If a piece calls for a technique we have not been asked for before, we will find the right hand for it rather than talk you out of the idea.
